Community

Sociologically, the City of the Future will be such that few will ever have reason to want to live anywhere else. Every facility you can imagine will be in place to enhance every employee and family member. Indeed catering facilities for your meetings or last-minute entertaining at home will be integrated between the office and community. A full complement of indoor and outdoor sports will be available. These will include gymnasiums, swimming pools and world-class spas for every occasion, whether for individuals or groups (such as your local neighborhoods or company intramural activities.)  Facilities will be provided for crèches (infant and toddler care), nurseries, play schools, and kindergarten for active mothers. The interior of every building will be Feng Shui compatible and ergonomically designed to inspire and enhance every employee—whether in an office, lab or research and manufacturing environment. The work place will become like a happy home. Sports Field/Community Center on Every Block A Danish experiment that was extremely successful, incorporated a community house and sports field in the centre of each neighborhood/block of housing. This acted as a facility for private or communal parties and get-togethers, casual sports (which often became an intramural neighborhood activity), ping pong, bridge, chess etc. In addition, it added young, healthy, social activities to engage in during their free time, all of which added to the integration of cultures, the expansion of well being, and the enjoyment of living in a City of the Future. Free, Open University for Families of Employees Additionally, DragonHeartTM Foundation planning features an Open University for the local families and employees with a variety of subjects like, home economics (cooking,) business studies, office and computer skills, arts and crafts and other courses selected to meet the particular needs of the community. All courses are to be free to families of employees and paid by a nominal city tax plus hotel, transportation, surplus energy and water profits. An Out-reach Open University to the greater community for teaching occupational and mechanical skills will be considered if not already available. Other international schools for children will be established as needed. Profits Benefit Communities A percentage of DragonHeartTM Foundation profits go back to the local and national community usually in the form of technological assistance This could, for example, be in the form of water and power systems, or water filtration systems that are easily assimilated and can be made available to the appropriate authority. Community models indicate that it is important to benefit these small communities or farm holdings in substantial ways that increase their quality of life/livelihoods with plug-and-play methods. A residential community will be built to house the temporary building staff/labor and families, succeeded by the city services employees and their families. A Shopping Center for Other Cities Around the World This City will be an ever-evolving "Shopping Center" for every new City of the Future built. DragonHeartTM City of the Future will be a model for the hope of our civilization in virtually every way imaginable.
