The Cyclonic Turbo Dryer (CTD) de-watering process removes over 95% of the water content of liquid waste or substances from any industrial, mining, agricultural or municipal slurry WITHOUT the use of heat. 

The DragonHeartTM CTD has only ONE MOVING PART and operates by using a series of concentrated, high-density cyclones and other novel devices, including Chinese rare earth magnets. Click here or photo below for close-up view.

No Odor -- No Heat    The unique design of these cyclones produced in a remarkable pipe, aptly described as a “twisting dragon” known as the DragonPipeTM. This unique pipe (which is the very heart of the DragonHeartTM CTD)  produces an unparalleled level of energy at more than twice the speed of sound, with a residence time of two seconds, which has the effect of “drying” the liquid without the associated side effects of odors, emissions and heat.

Slurry Treatment with the CTD

Recycling - Sewage    Throughout the world, the problem with stockpiled sludges is increasing by hundreds of millions of tonnes every year, particularly in high growth areas of developing countries.  The contamination of soils and water supplies by inadequate treatment of municipal sewage sludge and industrial effluent is causing many human health problems.  A regulatory setting currently exists in the EU, and many other world Governments have stipulated an end to dumping sewage on the seas, as well as industrial process waste and municipal sludge due to the unsustainable impact this has on groundwater. The CTD is one of the few technologies capable of eliminating this massive sewage problem and, when cost is considered, may be the only solution due to its amazing efficiency.  It was specifically developed to receive the existing waste streams from treatment works, to process these wastes and to recover and dry the solid material then turn it into benign dust without nitrogen, and use it for fertilizer powder.  For example, Victoria currently has over 2,000,000 tonnes of stockpiled sludge increasing at a level of approximately 80,000 tonnes per year (Rob Joy, Chairman, EPA.) 

The CTD is suited to reducing sludges from a level of 96% moisture to less than 5%.  Significantly, it creates a sterile, pathogen-free output suitable for co-burning, compost or direct, in-soil applications.

Sewage cake utilised for fuel in combustion type gassifiers can be dried and deodorized by the CTDSewage slurry can be dewatered without pre-treatment, making it ideal for either fuel feedstock for plasma gasification (and for the conversion into surplus town gas,) or chemical treatment processes for metal recovery and binding heavy metals against acid rain leachate, as well as destroying all known pathogens in the process, making it suitable for land reclamation.  Photos: Above: Pig waste entering CTD inlet port. DragonHeartTM Slurry Treatment Science

The science behind the patented DragonHeartTM Slurry Treatment mimics several unique phenomena in Nature, which optimize the standing waves, magnetism and other effects from devices heretofore not considered to disassociate water introduced into the air streams: 

     * An electrochemical process which weakens both the electric and magnetic bonds of water.

     * A simulated tornado, whereby the DragonHeartTM Slurry Treatment enforces formations of ionizing tornados at twice the speed of sound, and internal configurations work on the natural tendency of the tornado to expel its energy and utilize it to gasify water and ionize bacteria and pathogens.

     * Cavitations created by Computer Fluid Dynamic Design provide extremely high temperatures to break down the chemical bonds in chemical compounds within the waste material.


Pathogen/Nitrogen-free Fuel

The secondary by-product of the DragonHeartTM Slurry Treatment has been found to be a dry, pathogen and nitrogen-free fuel exceeding 8000 BTU, and a unique turbine generator process developed for utilizing the dried powder as fuel.

The turbine features a new breed of high efficiency, Chinese-sourced, rare earth magnets to form generators in scalable megawatt range, which, in turn, power the one moving part of the DragonHeartTM Slurry Treatment. 

The exhaust gases produced by this boundary-layer turbine can be introduced back into the DragonHeartTM Slurry Treatment System where they are neutralized, resulting in a discharge into the atmosphere that contains ZERO POLLUTANTS.


Mobile System    The DragonHeartTM Slurry Treatment can be custom designed for any process volume, but it was originally planned and designed to be the perfect mobile system (mounted on 40 ton, 5th-wheel trailers) that may be operated in tandem or in multiples to achieve maximum flexibility for demonstrating and/or addressing urgent treatment requirements. This system will be an excellent interim solution for piggeries and chicken farms, sewage/wastewater, agricultural waste, pharma/chemical slurries, food processing, mining, oil drilling and peat industries until permanent systems are in place.


Oil, Water and Sewage Pipes    The DragonPipeTM is made of aluminum and has numerous subsidiary applications as the flow patterns create ionization which purifies and energizes water while in friction-free transit. This creates ideal sewage, water and oil  pipes. Several tons of clean water per hour is distilled by the super efficient AquaFerTM  Atmospheric Distiller during this 2 to 3 second process utilizing the DragonPipeTM. In applications where there is not a need for fertilizer, the dry fuel (as referenced above) may be used as a turbine fuel for power generation for the DragonWingTM, as well as a commercially-sellable, nitrogen-reduced fertilizer in areas saturated with nitrogen fertilizer. The turbine also utilizes the syngas from our municipal waste system to become purely an electrical generator. The municipal waste system can use our dried sewage as the fuel, as typical municipal waste has a low BTU rating. The process is actually made profitable by adding the dried sewage, which is highly combustible due to the removal of nitrogen.


Oil Pipelines    The DragonPipeTM  is also ideal for oil pipelines, as the in-winding, centripetal action removes pressure from the walls of the pipe resulting in less pumping with optimum safety against oil leaks and subsequent pollution. Had this pipe been in Alaska, there would be no reason to ever shut it down. This makes it an exceptional oil pipeline that is highly desirable by the industry. The pipes overall internal reduced friction reduces the amount of in-line pumping. Another application for this would be pre-formed plastic liners for old, leaking underground pipelines requiring replacement. The increased speed of transfer would more than compensate for the reduced flow volume. The savings for these pipeline replacements would be substantial.

As the above information clearly shows, the DragonHeartTM Slurry Treatment does not require the costly, unpleasant, environmentally unfriendly and politically unattractive disposal of conventional dried or semi-dried sewage treatment end-products. Certain inventions have been identified which are complementary to it such as the DragonHeartTM GassiFireTM System for MSW (Municipal Sewage & Waste) augmented by a new turbo generator called DragonWingTM, the AquaFerTM Atmospheric Distillers (producing 30 Million gallons a day,) and other inventions described within this website. It is intended to utilize Chinese innovations where appropriate, and include them in our global marketing program.


Dairy    The CTD has numerous applications in the dairy industry due to its ability to dry and powderize wet material without using any heat.  Heating is the major cost in the production of powdered milk products. Not so with our process.

The CTD can process massive volumes of moist dairy product into dry powder in one cycle.  It can significantly reduce the time and cost of processing by eliminating two to four cycles of processing and completely eliminating the heating stages of the process. Photo: Powdered milk.
